Driver Reeking of Alcohol Gets Pal, Himself Popped for Drugs

On Oct. 10, at 12:16 a.m., Kyle Adam Vallandingham, 20 of Mechanicsville and Charles Ronald Patton, Jr., 22 of Leonardtown, were arrested by TFC J. G. Fleetwood for Possession of Marijuana, Possession of CDS Paraphernalia and seven Oxycodone pills.   

Vallandingham was operating a brown Chevrolet S-10 on south bound Point Lookout Road, north of Abell Street in Leonardtown when he abruptly stopped in a private drive in the 22000 block of Point Lookout Road.  TFC Fleetwood made contact with Vallandingham and an odor of an alcoholic beverage was emitting from breath.  Vallandingham was found to be in possession of a small plastic baggie containing seven Oxycodone pills and was subsequently placed under arrest for possession of a Schedule II narcotic.  Vallandingham was charged with possession of CDS, DUI/DWI and other traffic related violations. 

Patton was charged with possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia.  Both subjects were transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where they were held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner
