That Doggone Tiki Bar Family Pet Day

Many have an incredible soft spot for pets. Solomons’ Tiki Bar is no exception. For that reason, the Tiki Bar held its first ever ‘That Doggone Tiki Bar Family Pet Day,’ on Sunday, Oct. 11. The pet-friendly event raised money for PAWS, a new pet clinic located in Huntingtown. Participating at the event were a number of pet rescue organizations and clinics, including PAWS, Doberman Animal Rescue & Education, Friends of Felines, St. Mary's Animal Welfare League and Greyt Expectations Greyhound Rescue. In addition, there were a number of vendors participating as well: Doggie Closet, Doggie Styles, Reiki Tails, Dogwatch Hidden Fences, PetSmart and Petco. While no ruff housing was allowed, there were some playful competitions for everyone! Contests included:
