On Oct. 10 at 3:39 p.m., officers were dispatched to Gardiner Equipment at 11740 Vernon Road in Waldorf for an intrusion alarm.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the fence had been cut and an ATV had been stolen. Further investigation revealed the ATV was taken to a nearby parking lot where the suspects tried to load it in a rental truck that appeared to have been stolen. The suspects fled prior to stealing the ATV and the property was retuned to the business.

Officers canvassed the area and processed the scene for evidence.
