Annmarie Garden in Solomons will host Halloween in the Garden on Saturday, October 24, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. More than 50 community organizations and local businesses will don their costumes; decorate their space and hand out candy and treats to children of all ages. Families can enjoy free ooky, spooky art activities in the studio school. For those bringing an appetite, visit the Optimist of Calvert for warm grilled cheese sandwiches and other devilishly delicious treats. Fun, festive new features at this year’s Halloween in the Garden include a replica of Hogwart’s Castle from Harry Potter, created by a talented crew from Dominion Cove Point LNG. Also new this year is a loveable, large, wizard- like character who dances, sings and interacts with visitors of all ages. This year Halloween in the Garden will be full of original, creative tricks and treats for the whole family. Admission is $1 per person and all proceeds benefit the Holiday Food Basket Program. Help our local community while enjoying a day of trick-or-treating, art activities, lunch and more. Parking is free and will be located in the field adjacent to Annmarie Garden—follow the signs. Dress the whole family in their favorite costumes and don’t forget to bring your camera--- there are always unique photo opportunities with the boo-tiful decorations! Halloween in the Garden is proudly sponsored by these area businesses: Dominion Cove Point LNG, Solomons Town Centre, BAHR Insurance Agency, Brothers Johnson, Community Bank of Tri-County, Gateau Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine, Jan Kleponis/ O’Brien Realty, SMECO and World Gym.
