This past weekend on Oct. 3 and 4, Maryland International Raceway hosted the MIROCK Superbike series Fast by Gast Superbike Finals, which has become one of the largest motorcycle drag racing series in the country.

This year, the series added a new class named “Orient Express Pro Street” which featured the World’s Fastest Streetbikes running at speeds of over 200 m.p.h., in just 7 seconds. In addition, the wild short wheelbase Pro Sportbike class returned for the exciting no-wheelie-bar racing; plus the ever popular HTP Performance Real Street class or True Street class returned with new bikes.

MIROCK also had a strong motorcycle bracket program including Quick 32, Pro ET, and Streetbike ET. There was a great manufacturers’ midway, a $1,000 bikini contest and wheelie contests.

The next big event coming to MIR is the Fourteenth Annual U.S. Army World Cup Finals on Nov. 7 and 8 when the world champion will be crowned.

The World Cup Finals will have something for everyone: a custom car show, bikini contest, burnout contest, interactive vendor midways, live DJs, huge crowds, beautiful women, and of course Import vs. Domestic Drag Racing! With over 10,000 people in attendance every year the WCF has become a phenomenon.

Over 700 drag racers compete ever year in nine different classes to bring side by side action of every type of genre in drag racing! Check out Fords, Chevys, Pontiacs, Buicks, and Mopars taking on Hondas, Toyotas, Mitsubishis, Mazdas, Nissans, BMWs, and others in heads-up action!

One of the biggest attractions at the World Cup Finals is the famous bikini contest also held on Sunday where over 30 models will strut their stuff in front of thousands on MIR's stage! Also, on Sunday, there is a wild, roaring tire-wrecking burnout contest.
