Route 5 near CSM Car Accident

On Monday, Sept. 28 at approximately 8:30 p.m. authorities responded to the scene of a two vehicle accident at 25349 Point Lookout Rd. in Leonardtown near the intersection of Hollywood Rd. One of the vehicles ended up on the property of the College of Southern Maryland's Leonardtown Campus.

Units from Leonardtown and Hollywood Volunteer Fire and Rescue responded and transported three crash victims to the hospital. One of the victims was a child who was transported in its infant seat.

The cause of the accident is under investigation at this time.

Wow...
Was that a head on collision? Hope all were wearing seatbelts! Looks like the pickup has a 'mellon bump' in the windshield. Any updates?

thanx for your concern dako...n trapper is a retard...yes there were minor injuries compared to what could have happened...n u obviously have never rode in a smaller truck....the windshield is very close to the seats....if they hadn't had belts on they would have gone thru the window....that was my brothers truck and my infant niece in the truck...so next time b a lil nicer wen refering to accidents....they are doing better...but my brothers head was cut n his knee went thru the dashboard....ino it says it is only under investigation but the SUV made a turn it wasn't supposed to...my brother had the legal right of way he was passing thru right as the light turned and the 18 yr old female took an illegal turn and hit them head on pushing them off the road.....my brothers girlfrnd had stitches in 2 places and the baby only got a little bumped thanx to the saftey seat....but they are doing alot better.....

On the contrary, I have one myself (smaller truck). Sounds like your brother needs a bigger truck...or to wear the shoulder part of the belt? Glad hear no one has any horrific injuries.

he was....those truck don't provide much room for someone who is 6'5" and they had the baby behind them in the seat so they couldn't move back too far i used to drive our fathers gmc senoma same model he was jus driving and wen u have a passenger on the small seat in the back of the cab u don't have much room in the front...but if you have a truck like this then im sure you would already know this...and u saw how far the doghouse was buckled....from what i was told the motor almost entered the cab from the colision...that doesn't leave much room...i mean look at it...hood is normaly round 4'-4'5 long....his is only bout 2'-2'5' now....do you honestly think that would leave much room in the cab for you not to hit like that...and im sure u also know that the older pick-ups like that only have a driver airbag....and the angle they were hit at caused her to hit the window there due to lack of passenger side air bag...and u know urself that those older trucks belts don't always catch like there spose to...i mean jus hitting ur breaks u almost hit ur head on the dash or windshield....

could u just say the guy was stupid..y do people use the word 'retard' when they mean stuck on stupid...guess what? retarded people KNOW when people are making fun of them so i guess they are not as stupid as you think they are or else you wouldnt use that term.

i didn't mean it in that sense as to offend a handicapped person...i used it in a fashion to offend his iq...it is jus wrong to talk about something as serious as this like it was jus a joke....my brother, his girl, n my baby niece coulda been seriously injured or died and b.c the belts didn't stop them from hitting a window at a high speed collision they were bein stupid n not werein belts...seriously u cannot protect him....let not ur stupidity b known to the world....keep them oblivious n keep it to yourself...i mean if he doesn't have anything smart to say he shouldn't say anything at all...ppl seriously need to think b4 they speak/comment...

I agree with what you are saying that the other writer shouldnt assume. Just wanted to point out the word 'retard' has been used in a hurtful way towards mentally handicapped. Sad how people who actually have an average or above IQ can still do and say stupid stuff. Oh for the day..

like i said i am sorry i was very upset...but i know that it has been used to offend them i have mentally handicapped family members i just hate wen people think that other peoples pains are just something to poke fun at or act like they are less serious then they are...n i wouldn't have said he was a retard if he hadn't acted like on wen someone was being serious and showing concern...just b.c you have no emotional connection to an incident does not give him the right to respond to someone elses concern in that way.
