On Sept. 23 at 8:52 p.m., officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a motorcycle near Route 228 and Route 229 in Waldorf. 

The driver refused to stop and fled to a nearby neighborhood where he jumped from the bike and fled. Officer J. Morales pursued the driver, Samuel Gabriel Poole, 32 of Waldorf, and apprehended him after a brief foot chase. A computer check revealed the motorcycle had been reported stolen from Laurel.
 
Poole was charged with traffic violations and theft.
