On Saturday, Sept. 12 from noon to 5 p.m., Leonardtown held its second Wharf Waterfront Celebration. People who attended were treated to choral music from Leonardtown Elementary, a one act play by the Newtowne Players, a musical performance by David Norris and more.

There all kinds of activities to enjoy, including story time at the Leonardtown Library and a US Coast Guard demonstration out on the water. Following that was a simulated water rescue in the bay by Leonardtown, Seventh District and Ridge Volunteer Fire Departments.

The event culminated with the Challenge Cup awards ceremony. TheBAYNET.com’s Sarah Nielsen was there to record all the fun. Take a look at the slideshow and see if you were “Caught in the Net!”
