UPDATE: Congratulations to Ken M, Chasity Buckler, Pam Cole and Lisa Plank who were the first four TBN readers to correctly answer the contest trivia question. To those who entered, don't worry. Next week TBN is giving even more tickets away that the 54 tickets to three events we gave away this week. Stay tuned for more chances to win free tickets!

PASS TIME, Speed Channel’s popular show is coming to Maryland International Raceway to shoot new episodes of the exciting interactive game show on Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 16 and 17. There will be 11 episodes shot over the two days with 10 cars per episode.

And, TheBAYNET.com readers have a chance to win passes to both days of taping and all the racing action!

During the PASS TIME taping there will be a total of 110 racers chosen from those in attendance. Racers can now pre-register at no charge on the MIR website and need only to pay their admission at the gate. This event will be open to the public, so all MIR fans are invited to be a part of the live action. Admission will be just $10 per person, and all children 11 and under are free.

“PASS TIME” is currently SPEED Channel’s first-ever game show and airs daily – 7:30 p.m. EST / 6:30 p.m. CT – on the cable network, with new special episodes airing every Wednesday at 9 p.m. EST/ 8 p.m. CT.

“So much of the enjoyment at the track is derived from guessing just how fast these cars will run the quarter-mile down the drag-strip,” said Speed Programming Vice President, Robert Ecker. “This phenomenon lends itself to a traditional game show format that is both fun to play and fun to watch, bringing every smoke-filled burnout directly into the viewer’s living room.”

PASS TIME was created by Rich Christensen and is produced by High Five Entertainment, a Nashville-based production company. HFE President, Martin Fischer isn’t surprised by the show’s success. “SPEED Channel viewers are so incredibly passionate about motorsports. Rich Christensen and Bob Ecker gave them a voice via this show. We just listened.”

The show’s premise is simple, name the time, win the cash, it’s that easy. Drivers tell three contestants about their car. Host Brett Wagner allows each contestant to ask the driver one question only. Based on that information, contestants lock in their times before the driver makes a pass.

The contestant whose guess is closest to the actual time wins cash. The player with the most cash at the end of the game wins. But there’s a twist. Players must compete against “PASS TIME’S resident automotive expert, Kenneth Herring.

“It’s a game show for gear-heads that’s fun for the whole family”, says HFE Motorsports Producer, Ray Iddings. “We’re really hoping fans turn out to be a part of the live action in MIR next month. Having an enthusiastic crowd on hand adds so much great energy to the show.”

On taping days, the gates will open at 10 a.m.; and whether you’re pre-registered or just coming to watch, it’s only $10 admission at the gate. At 12 noon, members of the “PASS TIME” crew will start roaming the pits as they scout for 110 of the most impressionable cars, trucks and bikes to stage the show.

The earlier you can make it, the better your chances are of being selected - although selections will be made all the way through Thursday afternoon.  Filming will start each day at 5 p.m. and will conclude at approximately 10 p.m.

Today, four lucky TBN readers will win a family four-pack of PASS TIME tickets good for both days of taping. All you have to do to win tickets is to answer one very easy trivia question and beone of the first four readers to email news@thebaynet.com with the correct answer.

Here’s the question:

What is the date and location for the St. Mary’s College of Maryland golf tournament?

Good Luck!
