8th Annual Watermen's Festival Returns to Solomons

Enjoy a day in Solomons on Sunday, September 27, as the best captains on the Chesapeake Bay battle for cash prizes, trophies and bragging rights at the 8th Annual Watermen’s Festival. More than 25 captains from as far away as Tangier Island and Rock Hall will compete in a fast-paced docking contest and ladies’ and men’s anchor throw contest and visitors can enjoy refreshments and local delicacies, children’s activities, face painting, live performances by Deanna Dove and more during this unique maritime event. Festivities begin at noon on the county dock in Solomons. Admission is free and the event will be held rain or shine.
