All Golfers Welcome in the SMCM Golf Tournament Oct. 2

All golfers of all levels are invited to test their mettle at the St. Mary’s College of Maryland golf tournament Friday, October 2, at the Cedar Point Golf Course at the Patuxent River Naval Air Station. Deadline for mandatory registration is September 18. Check-in the day of the tournament begins at 7 a.m. with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. The tournament format is captain’s choice. Golfers will be accepted on a first-paid-and-received basis. For additional information, call the St. Mary’s College Office of Alumni Relations at (240) 895-3381 or go to the web site at www.smcm.edu/alum. “Cedar Point is located on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay and is considered by many to be the best course in Southern Maryland,” said Dave Sushinsky, the college’s director of alumni relations and planned giving. Cost of $100 per golfer covers 18 holes of golf, an all-inclusive beverage program, gift bag, lunch at the club house, and prizes; proceeds help fund SMCM alumni activities. The tournament kicks off the school’s homecoming weekend is being organized by members of the St. Mary’s College of Maryland Alumni Office and Athletics Department.
