Citizen Hospitalized Following Armed Robbery Near Train Tracks

On Sept. 7 at 11:30 p.m., officers responded to White Oak Drive in Waldorf for the report of a citizen robbery.
 
Investigation revealed the victim was walking toward his house when a male approached and asked for a cigarette. The victim gave the man a cigarette and continued walking. The man followed the victim to the train tracks where another male approached. The men pushed the victim to the ground, displayed a handgun and stole his backpack, cell phone and wallet.

The suspects fled and the victim was transported to an area hospital where he was treated for multiple facial lacerations.
