Calvert County Announces Labor Day Closures

The Calvert County Board of County Commissioners announces the following office and facility closures for the Labor Day weekend: · All Calvert County government offices will be closed Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day.
· The Calvert Pines, Southern Pines, and North Beach senior centers will be closed Saturday, September 5, and reopen Tuesday, September 8. Meals on Wheels, Inc. will not be delivering meals on Monday, September 7.
· All Calvert County libraries will be closed Saturday, September 5, through Monday, September 7.
· Calvert County bus service will run on the regular schedule Saturday, September 5. There will be no bus service on Monday, September 7.
· On Saturday, September 5, all solid waste Customer Convenience Centers will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and the Appeal Landfill will be open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. On Sunday, September 6, three sites will be open for bagged trash only: Mt. Hope Convenience Center (10 a.m. to 7 p.m.), Barstow Convenience Center (12 - 7 p.m.) and the Appeal Landfill (12 - 7 p.m.). All sites will be closed on Monday, September 7 and reopen for regular hours on Tuesday, September 8.
