Construction Worker Hit By Vehicle

At approximately 12:45 p.m., Sept. 1, on Chancellors Run Road in the area of heavy construction near Norris Road a construction worker was struck by a vehicle. Emergency units from Bay District and Lexington Park responded.

The construction worker was treated on the scene and transported to St. Mary’s Hospital by ambulance. Authorities are investigating the scene.

well...
who didnt see this coming.. this place is a nightmare. Could most of this work be done at night or with the neighborhoods beeing so close will that not work

I live on that street, and yes it is a nightmare but could you imagine trying to sleep with all that construction going on. It would drive anyone crazy. We are all going to just suck it up and deal with it during the day

How could this work be done at night? Or better yet, how can you suggest that? These people all have families that they want to get home to, not spend there evenings doing construction, when its dark and dangerous. They could get hurt not being able to see. But day or night, this road is heavily traveled, so it really wouldn't matter. People continue to speed on this road, even though its a construction site. Impatient people cause these accidents.

Caution!!
No offense to the road workers and i hope the crew member is okay, but, that road is a disaster and the road crew always just walkes right out in front the vehicles.... Drivers on that road and the road workers need to be more cautious on this road.....

Its gets so scarey on the this road, some of the workers don't watch what they are doing and almost walk right into the road as you are driving past. I have seen this a few times. My kids have too and they ask why is that man not paying attention mommy.

Workers
No offense to the workers either. I live in the condos and go by this every day. They are just trying to do there job. Not only is this area a disaster right now, but the workers are actually walking in front of vehicles. I have seen it too and never seen anything like it. Not only that, but the guys holding the signs are texting on there phones instead of paying attention to traffic. I hope he is ok, looks like he got clipped with the mirror.
