Sex Offender Granted Work Release in St. Mary's City

HISTORIC ST. MARY'S CITY - 8/22/2009

In a continuing effort to keep the citizens of St. Mary’s County, Maryland informed, Sheriff Timothy Cameron makes the following notification:

Registered Sex Offender Matthew Scott Hurry, age 23, has been granted Court Ordered Work Release from the St. Mary’s County Detention Center.  Hurry is employed and will begin work on August 24, at Verdant Pastures on Milburn Farm Lane, St. Mary’s City, Maryland 20686.

Here We Go Again
Just a little note on Mr. Hurry, here is a fine citizen who attacked and molested a 4 yr old girl, who then was released on probation, who then was violated on probation charges, who now is yet again back in the system and released on "Work Release". There is something very wrong here in ST Mary's Co and it starts with the sitting Judges, who repeatedly let these animals back on the streets to prey upon its citizens. We have a drug problem of such a huge proportion and yet these animals are let back on the streets to prey upon our children. We need to take back our community, not stand for this open door policy being forced upon us by our "so called" judges, help me to speak out and be heard...

Work release? Does this mean that he is free to go to work during the day and then goes back to jail for the night? If so that wouldn't be to bad as long as he was monitered. It sounds as though he isn't at all trustworthy. I realize the college is a bit different than an elementary school but still not a good idea. Most men can overpower most women. Someone needs to be looking out for the kids!!!!

Is this a riding stable? Are there children around this place?
Why can't he sit in jail and serve his sentence, to teach him a lesson?
Why do the Judges feel it is okay for these perverted so and so's, to get out of jail and go to work?
Did this dirtbag piece of sh#$ work before he started touching children or did he just come up with this idea to work so he won't have to sit in jail.
I hope the little pervert gets on the internet and reads these posts! If so, I hope you feel the love!
Who in their right mind would hire this stupid pathetic person?
Is it mandatory for the Sheriff to let this scumbag out of jail to go to work?
I would not want it on my conscious when he does it again (and they all do it again!).

Isn't this the scumbag who received his GED last week, advertised right here on Baynet, that a lot of people were speaking so highly about because he is trying to turn things around.

It's funny you should mention stables because this is my farm that we're speaking of and I just found out about this last night after meeting Maddie about a week ago. Although this businees is in his mother's name, my husband and I own the land where her horses are boarded and have two children the ages of 10 and 12 who walk back and forth down our driveway everyday to catch the school bus along with several other children in the neighborhood. I am very glad to tell you that in no way did we want him on our land near our children and had his work release revoked and he was picked up today. PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD!! HE'S OFF THE STREETS FOR NOW.

I would hate to think of seeing this guy anywhere near my kid, I would go to prison for a ong time for making him pay a high price just for being around him, and if I knew the judge that allowed him out on work release, I would be doing my very best to file negligence charges against him/her, and that is what the judge is asking for allowing a piece of s**t like this back on the street.

NO WAY!!!!!!!
Not only are there teenage girls attending the college but there are also school trips to that college each and everyday! They are not only at the main center but also at the farm house which is away from everybody and everything! This house is located in and surrounded by woods....no way should this person be allowed to work anywhere near this area!!!!!!!!!!!

So he has a GED and a job, isn't that great. Maybe we can get him on welfare, put him in tax paid housing and sign him up for food stamps too while we're at it. Thanks judges! I love paying for child molesters while i struggle to pay my electric bill.

What are they thinking!!!!
I really don't understand this court system we have in this county. Those who need convictions get off with a slap on the wrists, but those that really haven't done anything get treated worse. It's like this court system is completely backwards.
