Sheriff's Office Citizen Academy Class now Registering

Sheriff Timothy K. Cameron announced on August 18, the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Fall Citizens Academy Class dates and times. The citizens academy is designed to give an inside look into the day-to-day operations of the Sheriff’s Office.

Sessions will be held on Thursday nights from 6 to 9 p.m. for a seven week period, beginning Oct. 1 and ending on Nov. 12.

Anyone over the age of 18 interested in attending the Sheriff’s Office Citizens Academy is welcome to apply. Applications are accepted for all future academies. Space is limited for each class and those interested are encouraged to apply fairly soon. The free classes are held at the Sheriff’s Office Headquarters Building located at 23150 Leonard Hall Drive in Leonardtown.
