On July 31, the Charles County Sheriff’s Office Warrant Unit developed information about the whereabouts of Bobbie Lee Garrett, 41, of Waldorf, who was wanted in Charles County for child abuse and 14 other related charges.  Charges include: child abuse, second-degree sex offenses, third-degree sex offenses, fourth degree sex offenses, unnatural or perverted practices and second-degree assault.

Detectives learned Garrett was on a flight from Florida to Columbus, Ohio. Investigators immediately contacted the US Marshals Office in Columbus who responded to the airport and arrested Garrett as he exited the plane. He was reprimanded in a Columbus, Ohio  Detention Center where he is awaiting extradition.

Officer R. E. Gass is investigating.

Garrett's arrest stems from multiple incidents in 2007 when he was accused of sexually abusing minors.
