Teen Charged with Rape and Kidnapping

ST. MARY'S COUNTY - 8/4/2009

On August 3rd, St. Mary’s County BCI detectives arrested Shawn M. Clark, 17 years of age, from Lexington Park and charged him as an adult with Second Degree Rape, Kidnapping and Second Degree Assault.

The arrest was the result of an investigation into a July 31st incident, where Clark offered to give a 19 year old female a ride from Lexington Park to Ridge. Clark drove the victim to a secluded area of Dameron where he forcibly raped her and left her there. The victim went to a nearby home and police were summoned. She was treated at St. Mary’s Hospital. Clark was incarcerated in the St. Mary’s County Detention Center.

Another sick individual, I wonder if they new each other. Seems like they just met if her offered her a ride. I hope justice in prison gives him the same sing.

But the sad thing is more than likely, he'll be out by next week.. It's a shame, but I've seen so many people listed on here that get arrested, then released and then arrested again the next week..

If you are from this area you should know that parts of lexington park are basically in ridge. I have known this boy, his family, and people he hangs with (in ridge) for the past few years so i think i do have my info straight so maybe you should think about that before you make comments back "jerky"!!!

One word... DUMB***!!
I'll never understand what goes on inside the brain of someone who thinks that he can just dump a girl in a secluded area thinking that he won't get caught. He won't be getting out anytime soon with that kidnapping charge on there. It's considered a capital offense and it's mandatory jail time. He's probably looking at around 10 years give or take.

Kidnapping in and of itself is NOT a capital offense in the state of Maryland: Only first degree murder is a capital offense in the state of Maryland. Criminal Law § 2-201 of the Annotated Code of Maryland defines murder in the first degree as: A deliberate, premeditated, and willful killing. Committed by lying in wait. Committed by poison. Committed in the perpetration of or an attempt to perpetrate arson, burglary, carjacking, escape from prison, kidnapping, mayhem, rape, robbery, sexual offense, sodomy, or bomb-making. If the offender willfully, deliberately, and with premeditation intended the death of a law enforcement officer.

Judges in this county will smile at him and let him go...10 years my a$$. If he does any time, it would surprise the he11 out of me. The last juvy charged with rape was found not guilty, and he was even a black man..... We'll see!

No Bond
He's going to face 30yrs to life in prison. Unless the judge is a dumb city boy. No offense to the judges, but they have been giving out some ridiculous sentences for those that should be spending it in Jessup. If the judge is as dumb as some of them he might get 18 months

Sonar
He must use his ears to track down his victims , like sonar . Those things probably emit radio waves . Anyways , this kid is a piece of sh*t ! A true predator , only preying on those weaker than himself . I bet he wouldn't be trying to kidnap any 300lb men . I'll just say this ... hopefully the other inmates will put his enormous ears to good use in prison (lovehandles , I guess you could say) .
