Children's Aid Inc. Has First Annual School Supply Drive

PRINCE FREDRICK - 8/3/2009

Children’s Aid, Inc. has kicked off its first annual School Supply Drive.  The drive seeks to collect backpacks, notebooks, folders, pencils, pens, crayons, markers and other school supplies for needy children in our county.

Often, children who do not have the proper school supplies are too ashamed to admit it and end up falling behind.  Students cannot do their best if they do not have the right tools.  Our goal is to highlight the importance of education as well as help the students approach the beginning of the school year with a greater sense of confidence and hope.

Donations will be accepted at Office Depot located in the Market Square shopping center in Prince Frederick through August 22nd:

Children’s Aid, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit agency established in 2008 by the Brezina Family. Our program serves Calvert County residents with a special focus on the economically disadvantaged.  Our mission is to help children and families strengthen their futures through services that are professional, responsive, child centered and family focused.   For more information about the program, visit www.TheChildrensAid.org.
