Russians Arrested for Bank Fraud at Chevy Chase Bank

On July 20, the Maryland State Police responded to the Chevy Chase Bank in California, for a reported Bank Fraud.  Investigation revealed that the suspects were conducting an internet scam and utilized Chevy Chase Bank. Once funds were obtained, the suspects would send the illegally obtained funds to locations in Russia.

On July 24, BCI  detectives arrested Oleksandr Parkhomenko, 20, of Lexington Park, Stanislava Onishchuk, 20, of Lexington Park, Oleksandr Ponomarenko, 23, of Lexington Park, Vadym Shvykkyi, 20, of Lexington Park and Oleksii Seleznov, 20, of Lexington Park and charged them with theft scheme over $500.
