Grab the family and get ready to make a mess (or a masterpiece) at the free Sunday FUNday at Annmarie Garden on Sunday, August 9, 1-3 p.m. Enjoy a variety of hands-on artsy activities for all ages and abilities. Paint with watercolors at an easel, play in clay at the ceramics studio, learn to make a monoprint and more! The activities will be held in AMG’s two wonderful Studio School buildings. Learn about all of the Studio School’s offerings, from summer camps for kids, the weekend workshops and evening classes for adults. Meet the talented faculty and get a glimpse of their work. While visiting AMG, enjoy the outdoors, the summer air, and the bountiful Black-eyed Susan's while embarking on a scavenger hunt. Bring your bike and take a leisurely ride through the park. Find a picnic table and enjoy the flora, fauna, and fresh air. Inside, tour the two art exhibitions currently on view. Wild Things! features animal-inspired art and Proximity: Regional Discoveries showcases the work by talented artists in the southern Maryland region. Annmarie Garden Sculpture Park & Arts Center is a thirty-acre public located at 13480 Dowell Road in Solomons, Maryland, just off Route 2/4. The New Arts Building is open Tuesday-Sunday, 10am-5pm.
