Charles Chamber Invites Community on a Cultural Tour of China

The Charles County Chamber of Commerce announced today that it is offering an all-inclusive trip to China in 2010 and invites the community to join them on this incredible adventure.

The nine-day, seven-night China trip runs from March 30 – April 7, at a cost of $1,999 per person for Chamber members, $100 additional for non-members. It includes a chartered bus to and from JFK International Airport, round-trip air to China, airport tax and air transfers, 4 and 5 star hotel accommodations, hotel taxes, three meals daily, deluxe bus tours, English speaking tour guides, and admission tickets to tourist spots.

“Through a special partnership with Chamber member CITSLINC International, Inc., we have arranged this extraordinary business and cultural vacation package at an amazing price for our Chamber members, their families and friends, or anyone simply looking for an adventure,” said Ken Gould, Executive Director, Charles County Chamber of Commerce. “We are thrilled to offer this terrific opportunity.”

The trip’s itinerary will include visits to Beijing, Tian An Men Square, the Temple of Heaven, the Palace Museum, Forbidden City, the Summer Palace, Kunming Lake, Longevity Hill, Seventeen-Arch Bridge, Marble Boat, The Great Wall, and Ming Tombs. After a flight to Shanghai and bus trip to Suzhou, the tour continues to the Lingering Garden, Tiger Hill, Hanshan Temple, the National Embroidery Institute, a boat cruise on West Lake, Yu Garden, and a business visit to the Pudong economic development zone. Optional tours are available at an additional cost.

The Charles County Chamber of Commerce will offer an informational meeting to answer questions about the trip on Wednesday, August 12, at 5:30 p.m. at the Sleep Inn Hotel, located at 6860 Crain Highway in La Plata, MD.

Interested travelers are encouraged to secure space early. Price is based on double occupancy. A $200 per person non-refundable fee is due at time of registration and is included in the total fare. The trip balance is due before February 1, 2010. A valid passport is required. All travelers must have a Chinese Visa. Travelers may obtain their own visa or may obtain one through CITSLINC International at an additional cost of $154 per person.
