High Speed Chase Conviction Lands Man in Prison

Steven Maurice Grove, who led police on a high speed chase on October 28, 2008 was sentenced to six years for his crimes. Grove was sentenced an additional two plus years for violating probation stemming from a stalking charge in 2004. On Oct. 28, in the early morning hours, Grove led police on a wild chase from Great Mills to 235 in California, where he was finally stopped when police deployed stop sticks. Grove was sentenced to three years on second-degree assault and three one-year sentences for DUI and other motor vehicle traffic violations. The one-year terms are to be served consecutively.
