Charles County Sheriff's Office are investigating a body found in La Plata.

According to Charles County Authorities the decedent was found on July 11 at 3:30 p.m. , by workers repairing a roof at 205 Kent Avenue in La Plata. 

The deceased has been identified as Kenneth Winters, 50, with a last known address in Lexington Park. The body was found in a wooded area that borders a building and it appears he may have been there for a few weeks. Winter's body was sent to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy which was performed on July 12. The autopsy showed no immediate or obvious signs of trauma and there are no signs of foul play.
