Five Arrested for Weapons Charges

At approximately 2 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, Police responded to the area of Fox Chase Apartments in Great Mills for a shooting complaint. After hearing complainants, police began looking for a Cadillac sedan believed to be carrying the suspects.
Authorities subsequently stopped a Cadillac on Belvoir Rd just off Chancellors Run Rd in California. After an investigation, police discovered a concealed weapon and arrested five black males.
BCI was called in to continue the investigation. All five suspects were charged with weapons violations and a fifth suspect was charged additionally with Dangerous Weapon-Conceal.
Arrested were: Derrick J. Day, 24 of Leonardtown, charged with carrying a Handgun in Vehicle: Jerry J. Esetp, 19 of Great Mills, charged with carrying a Handgun in Vehicle, Zachary A. Faxon, 20 of Lexington Park, charged with carrying a Handgun in Vehicle, Elvis T. Frederick, 23 of Loveville, charged with carrying a Handgun in Vehicle, Jerell D. Owens,22 of Callaway, charged with carrying a Handgun in Vehicle and Dangerous Weapon-Conceal.
