Cops on Top is a team of volunteers from the law enforcement and public service community who undertake mountain climbing and hiking to honor the memories of those heroes who have lost their lives in the line of duty protecting others.

“This year the Cops on Top 2009 Summit for Heroes was held on June 27.  On that day, Cops on Top fielded teams across the United States to climb the highest points in their respective states, covering almost all 50 states, in remembrance of our fallen comrades.”

Deputy First Class Angela Delozier, a St. Mary’s County School Resource and D.A.R.E Deputy participated along with her husband, John, son, Alex and family friend Jim Hollis.  Team Delozier climbed Backbone Mountain in Garrett County, Maryland.  Backbone Mountain’s highest altitude is 3360 ft.

Congratulations Team Delozier – Job Well Done!
