Search Continues for Calvert Purse Snatcher

On July 3, members of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office responded to two local businesses in reference to an unknown suspect stealing women’s purses. The first theft occurred at 11:30 a.m., at the Giant in Prince Frederick, the second occurred minutes later at Wal-Mart also in Prince Frederick. The victims had briefly turned away from their shopping carts leaving their purses unattended. The suspect is described as a white male in his late teens early twenties with a slim built, between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall, witnesses saw the suspect enter a small silver passenger vehicle.
