Teen Flown to Shock Trauma After Striking Tree

On July 3 at 5:04 p.m., officers responded to the area St. Charles Parkway near St. Ignatius Drive in Waldorf for the report of a motor vehicle accident.
Investigation revealed the victim, a 16-year-old male, was traveling south on St. Charles Parkway when his vehicle – a Ford F-150 - lost traction and slid into a tree. The victim suffered numerous injuries and was flown to Baltimore Shock Trauma with serious injuries.
Officer M. Burrows of the Traffic Operations Unit is investigating.
