Motorcyclist Loses Control Near Thomas Johnson Bridge

On Friday, July 3 about 10 a.m., authorities responded to the scene of a motorcycle accident on MD Route 4 on the St. Mary’s County side of the bridge. Apparently a motorcycle rider lost control and was thrown from his bike.

Witnesses report that the man looked to be trying to drive with his front wheel elevated, but lost control. The man was dressed in protective gear and managed to right his motorcycle.

He ate it trying to pop a wheelie?!?!?

Oh wait, his enablers will say nothing has been proven yet. Allow me to rephrase the last statement.

He allegedly ate it after allegedly attempting to pop an alleged wheelie on his alleged motorcycle while allegedly riding his alleged motorcycle on Rt 4, allegedly a paved roadway allegedly in St. Mary's County, allegedly Maryland.

There, that shouldn't offend anybody, right?

And I even stayed on topic.

who cares now
this happened last Friday, so why is this Donkey getting the coverage now? Just because he doesn't know how to properly perform a wheelie, doesn't mean he needs to get the coverage now. At least put his name on here so everyone will know who caused this large back-up in traffic. What a moron!!

I think its funny too.
ya know, ive never became a member of the baynet til just now..ive never felt the need because you guys who comment on half of these stories really entertain me! But I just thought Id put it out there..this is a good friend of mine and mind you dont get me wrong I find this funny because on Thurs we were out and he was talkin about how "one of these days" hes not gonna be so lucky and look what happened the next day! So I too find it funny... whoever wanted to know his name, its Mike and ill leave it at that. But guys, keep in mind this kind of stuff happens all the time, so lets try not to get too many kicks at someone elses expense, what if he wasnt able to walk away from the accident like many others do not, it would not be quite as hilarious than! Anyways thanks to the many posters that keep me informed and entertained everyday!!

The only reason it can be this funny is because he wasn't hurt badly. Believe me, if he had been seriously injured, I wouldn't be laughing.

Performing a motorcycle trick on highways is not the brightest thing one can do. Save it for empty parking lots and the drag strip...away from innocent motorists. Ride responsibly...motorcyclists are already at a disadvantage.

Yep. If we didn't see him walking around smiling in the pictures then the jokes wouldn't have been posted. But, hurt or not, we do pray he wises up and enjoys the ride by being a little more responsible. He obviously has friends who would miss him if he was gone. Maybe you can talk some sense into him over a cold one or two.

for holding up traffic. Like CC said, save that stuff for else where. I have no problem with you wanting to do crazy stuff as long as it doesn't impact EVERYONE ELSE!! As far as it being funny, I'm not laughing, I just think he is an idiot that can't handle his bike. If he wasn't able to walk away, it would have been his own fault. As long as he doesn't take anyone else with him.

He should pay restitution for his actions - all expenses for the emergency personnel that responded to the scene. Plus he should pick up the trash along that entire road on a Saturday morning for all to see - maybe with a picture on his back showing him standing next to his wrecked bike...... Just a thought.

yall are right, those pics are pretty funny with his ripped pants and him smiling and what not...I did give my friends a call and we all got a kick out of it too.. I wish I could talk sense into the guy, but hes just that, a stubborn guy!! I hope he learned his lesson! He said it would take one good spill and he would learn his lesson...so lets all hope!! Again, thanks to you all, you truly keep me entertained at work :)

Like Shay13 said Mike is also a friend of mine and i have rode street bikes with him plenty of times, these kind of things happen that is why they are called ACCIDENTS Its wonderful that all he recieved was a little roadrash( maybe thats why he was smiling) You guys werent there so you rude comments are not needed

Aw, most everybody was getting a kick out of this, then you came up with your last sentence - "You guys werent there so you rude comments are not needed".

I wasn't at this "accident", but I have buried a few of my friends when they had theirs. So if I make a "rude" comment that gets just ONE of you to listen, just ONE of you pays attention, and just ONE of you lives until tomorrow instead of making your friends/family bury you, then it's cool. Call me rude all you want. As long as I feel I can get just ONE to listen and be here tomorrow I will keep making my sarcastic and even rude comments. What's a few words when they may keep somebody alive.

Were the witnesses wrong? I hope so, but as you pointed out, I wasn't there.

However, if the witnesses were right, and as long as Mike believes that "these kind of things happen" and it was just an accident, he's going to continue taking risks and he will go down again. Maybe he won't be so lucky next time.

Rude or not, Mike needs you and Shay13 to tell him like it is, not to prop him up - would you rather go to the beach with him or go to his funeral?

Serve's him right for trying to be some super cool stunt devil in traffic.

Biker's are not at a dissadvantage; they put everyone else at a dissadvantage. Trying to not hit a biker is like trying to not hit a squirrel (you never know what stupid move they're going to make).

One would think that alone should be a great deterrent. Too bad most do not think before they make that decision 'act the fool'. (myself included)

Why is he walking around laughing and smiling with the cops??

Why isn't he in cuffs in the back of one of the cruisers??

Doing "wheelies" on a public road, in traffic?

Did he get cited for Reckless Driving? How about endangering others?? Is Public Stupidity a crime??

Just saying.. if you did a "wheelie" in your car and wrecked it, wouldn't they arrest the driver of the car??

For those of you that dont know the person that it happened to, well I do. The real storie behind it was that his clutch chain snapped causing the clutch to pop which caused the bike to stand up...and I dont car how good or bad of a rider anyone is or claims to be when a bike stands up unexpectedly it is hard to control it! So learn the facts before talkin trash!

Don't forget to have him contact the sheriff and change the official report now that he is changing his story.

Everything needs to match up ya know.

It's a shame he didn't use this at the time of the original investigation. That would have simplified the paperwork. Now it all has to be changed.
