Employment Seminar for Veterans Set for July 20

An Employment Assistance Seminar for Veterans will be held on Monday, July 20 from noon to 5 p.m. at the Southern Maryland Higher Education Center. Ty Guda, Human Resources Specialist, United States Army, Ft. Meade Civilian Personnel Advisory Center, will be facilitating the seminar. Topics will include resume preparation through the Civilian Personnel On-Line website, Veteran’s Recruitment Appointments, Veterans Employment Opportunities Act and 30 Percent Plus Disabled Veterans Employment opportunities. Veterans are required to reserve a seat for the seminar by contacting the Maryland’s Commitment to Veterans SoMD Regional Resource Coordinator Arianna Day at ahammond@msmhs.org or (410) 725-9993. Or you can contact your Veterans Employment Representative from the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation to assist in reserving a seat. Guda offers this seminar each month at Ft. Meade. The Maryland’s Commitment to Veterans Initiative offers resources to those veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan who have not been able to obtain timely access to wellness and other critical services.
