UPDATE: Serious Accident on Poplar Ridge: Two Injured in Overturned Vehicle

UPDATE: June 30 at 2:45 p.m.

Upon Trooper 7's arrival, the female patient could not be stabilized due to combativeness and was not able to be flown out. The woman was transported by ambulance to St. Mary's Hospital.

No word on either of the patients condition.


Rescue crews are on the scene of a serious single vehicle accident with injuries in Lexington Park.

Crews responded to the 20600 block of Poplar Ridge Road around 1:49 p.m. on June 30, for the report of an overturned vehicle. Upon arrival, two patients were found lying in the roadway and their vehicle overturned in the woods. There is one male and one female patient.

Trooper 7 will be landing at Spring Ridge Middle School to transport the female patient. The male patient is being transported by ambulance to St. Mary's Hospital with serious injuries.

No word on what may have caused the crash. More details to follow as they become available.
