Trace Adkins Set to Entertain and to Honor America
WALDORF - 6/26/2009

On Saturday July 4, Country music performer Trace Adkins will grace the stages of Regency Furniture Stadium in the second Kool Productions concert of the season. Adkins, 46, claims to be the same guy he always was hailing from Sarepta, LA. Adkins began his singing career as a gospel singer. After he went to college and worked on oil platforms in the Gulf, he decided to move to Nashville in the early 90s. He managed to make a name for himself in the country music business and released his debut album in 1996. Adkins enjoyed reasonable success, but national recognition came to him after appearing on the Donald Trump show, Celebrity Apprentice in 2008 where he ended up as one of the two last contestants. According to Adkins Web site discussing his appearance on Celebrity Apprentice, "I'm glad now that I did it. I went into it reluctantly. The only reason I did it was because of the food allergy situation, and because that's such a personal cause for my family." The Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network received any winnings from the show. Adkins has a six-year-old daughter that suffers from potentially deadly food allergies. At the July 4 concert in Waldorf, Adkins will be performing many of his impressive collection of country music hits and the show will end with a grand fireworks display.
