On June 22 at 9:36 p.m., officers responded to the 3700 block of Acquinsicke Place in White Plains, for the report of a domestic-related incident in which a teen had just been assaulted.

The teen fled the house and called police. While in route, officers were advised the suspect was assaulting another family member.  When officers arrived, they observed the suspect and a woman sitting on a couch. The suspect refused to come to the door and would not allow the woman to leave. After repeated attempts to have the suspect surrender, the Charles County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Services Team, along with hostage negotiators, responded.

At 2:50 a.m., officers gained entry into the house where the suspect was apprehended without incident. The woman had not been injured. The suspect, a 46-year-old male, was charged with second-degree assault, child abuse, obstruction and hindering.
