Police Investigate Attempted Church Burglary

On June 22 at 8:30 a.m., officers responded to the New Life Church at 9690 Shepherd’s Creek Place in La Plata for the report of an attempt break-in.

Investigation revealed sometime between June 21 at 2 p.m. and June 22 at 8:30 a.m., unknown suspects tried to pry open the doors at the rear of the church but did not gain entry. Further investigation showed pry marks on the shed and garage doors. Nothing was reported stolen. Officers canvassed the area and processed the scene for evidence.
