County Wide Drug Busts

ST. MARY'S COUNTY - 6/21/2009

Vice Narcotics Detectives received information about drug activity at two related residences, one in Hollywood and the other in Lexington Park. As the investigation continued Search and Seizure Warrants were obtained for both homes. The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Services Team assisted in the execution of the warrants. Suspects Christopher John Anthony, 23 of Hollywood and Amber Renee Kellis, 24 of Lexington Park, were arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana, additional charges are pending. 

Vice Narcotics Detectives identified a group of individuals that were distributing cocaine in the Callaway/Piney Point. Two suspects have already been arrested. The third suspect Joseph Cornell Young, 35, aka “Joe Joe” was indicted at the conclusion of a drug investigation related to him.

After the other two suspects were arrested, suspect Young fled to the State of Georgia. Vice Narcotics Detectives began tracking the suspect and requested assistance from the United State Marshals Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force. The investigation continued for several weeks before suspect Young was apprehended by the United States Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force.

State’s Attorney Richard D. Fritz ordered Suspect Young returned to the State of Maryland to stand trial. The extradition process is now underway. Vice Narcotics Detectives would like to thank both Marshal Task Forces for their quick response in assisting us.

It's a crying shame!
It's a crying shame how the county of St. Marys in cojunction with The (shamefull) st marys today newspaper, can put articals and photos of people with crimes that are less offensive in there paper like that do. Im reading this artical about mr jo young and how they sent a task force to apprehend him for an indictment. All this energy is expound for "what" a small drug charge. What the county and the newspaper should be spending time on is the failing school systems, teen pregnancy, and giving people in that town hope, not incarceration. But they wont do that because jim crow still exsist there, racial profiling and a county government that is controlled by a few local "good ole boys". Maybe one of these days on a National level somebody will expose this town and show what really goes on there.

Bout time!
This individual known as "Jo Jo" has been the county's major pain in the rump for many years. So glad they finally got him, locking him up where he belongs. He's netourius for selling drugs and having the kids do it for him. Bout time the county finally got that dead beat off the streets of the county. I don't feel sorry for him in the least. In fact, think I'll have a beer after work to celebrate knowing that there's one less dealer around in the county.

Drugs...
Your whole area is invested with 18 to 30 yr olds doing and selling drugs. That's why i moved. Period.
