Carnival Fun Round' Town

Carnival season is in full swing here in Southern Maryland. Last weekend from June 18 through 21, the Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department kicked things off celebrating their 75th anniversary and opened their annual carnival fundraisers.
The MVFD Carnival continues this weekend beginning today, June 25 through June 28. The carnival is a fun-filled, inexpensive event suitable for all ages. Also this weekend, the Hollywood Volunteer Fire Department begins their carnival. Thursday, Friday and Saturday the carnivals are open 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., and on Sunday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m..
If you can't make it this weekend, plan to be at the Ridge Volunteer Fire Department's annual carnival beginning Thursday, August 6 through Sunday, August 9.
Each carnival will have food, games, prizes, and rides for the entire family. Come out and get your funnel cake and enjoy the summer breeze!
