Woman Extradicted from Florida, Jailed in Leonardtown

On June 5, at 7:24 p.m., Maricris Arguez Shaw, 35 of Tavares, FL was served three outstanding arrest warrants, both for theft of a motor vehicle and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Additionally, was issued by the District Court in Leonardtown for six counts of bad checks in the amount of $8,450 and two counts of forgery. Shaw was apprehended in Tavares, FL on unrelated charges and was extradited back to Leonardtown where she is incarcerated in the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where she is being held pending her court appearance.
The warrants were served by Tpr. G. Thompson and Tpr. M. Pitcher.
