On June 3, at approximately 7:10 p.m., TFC J. Wilson was dispatched to the Best Buy in Waldorf where he made contact with loss prevention officer B. Boston.
Boston advised James Patrick Cooksey, 39 of White Plains, that the store would not take computer software back that had been opened. Boston then directed Cooksey to the customer service desk where he was denied the opportunity to return the item because it was open. Cooksey stormed from the customer service desk yelling vulgar language and threw the software at the customer service sign, causing the sign to fall to the floor. Boston confronted Cooksey because the the sign was damaged. A scuffle ensued, and Cooksey was arrested for disorderly conduct, second-degree assault.
