On May 28, the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office graduated the Spring-2009 Citizen’s Police Academy. The Citizen’s Academy is designed to give an inside look into the day-to-day operations of the Sheriff’s Office. Citizens learn exciting facts about the K-9 Unit, Emergency Services Team, Forensics/Crime Lab, Accreditation, Uniform Patrol, Administration, Bureau of Criminal Investigations, Communications/911, State’s Attorney’s Office, Parole and Probation, Community Policing, and Corrections, just to name a few. |
