Man Threatens to Stab Woman with Screwdriver

On May 31, deputies responded to a residence on Great Mills Road for a report of a domestic dispute.
Investigation revealed Wendell Kinney, 24 of Great Mills, was engaged in a verbal dispute with the victim, which escalated into a physical assault when Kinney grabbed the victim, held a screwdriver to the victim’s abdomen and threatened to stab her. The victim was able to break free from Kinney and called 911.
Kinney was arrested and charged with second-degree assault.
