Smell of Pot Leads to Discovery of Burnt Blunt, Perocet Pill, Bag of Weed

On May 26,at 9:24 a.m., Andrew Leo Sewell, 20 of Lexington Park, was arrested by Tpr. E. Page for possession of marijuana and possession prescription medications not prescribed to him.  

Sewell was operating a silver Oldsmobile Aurora on south bound Three Notch Road, in the area of Exploration Drive in Lexington Park when he was stopped for exceeding the posted speed limit.  Upon contact with Sewell, an odor of burnt marijuana was emitting from the vehicle.  Sewell was found to be in possession of a small baggie of marijuana, a partially burnt marijuana cigar and a half of a Percocet pill. 

Sewell was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
