ANOTHER BUS TRIP to WASHINGTON NATIONALS GAME SCHEDULED!
The May bus trip was so well received we’re offering another opportunity to see the Nats play- this time as they face the Florida Marlins on Thursday, August 9. The seats will be covered to protect you from rain and sun. Cost for this trip is $55 per person and includes round trip coach bus fare, water and snacks on the bus, along with the price of your ticket. Health Watch
Loffler Senior Activity Center will continue it’s monthly Health Watch series on Thursday, June 11, at 11 a.m. This month’s presentation will be “Sunburn on My Shoulders Makes Me Unhappy.” Jane Dodds, a registered nurse for St. Mary’s Health Department will provide you with tips on how to enjoy the summer sun safely. Please call 301.737.5670, ext. 1658 to sign up or stop by the reception desk. Let us know if you wish to stay for lunch. (Lunch is $5 for those under 60 and by donation for those 60+.)

Monday, Monday So Good to Me!
Starting on June 1 at 9:30 a.m., Dynamic Ceramics will be held every first Monday of the month at the Northern Senior Activity Center. Each following Monday will feature additional programs for spicing up your Mondays. The second Monday of the month will be Scrap booking at 10 a.m., the fourth Monday will be bingo at 10 a.m. Walk-ins are welcome. Persons interested in getting more involved and meeting new people will find that Mondays are a great way to start the week out.
Bunco Bonanza and Pizza Lunch
On Wednesday, May 27 at noon, a pizza lunch will be served at the Northern Senior Activity Center, followed by bunco games with prizes for the top winners. Call 301.475.4002, ext. 1001 by noon on Tuesday, May 26 to sign up for lunch. Cost is by donation for seniors, $5 for persons under 60.
‘Meet Mike’ the P.T.
On Tuesday, May 26 at 1 p.m., Certified Physical Therapist Mike O’Brien offers assistance in using the fitness equipment at the Northern Senior Activity Center. He also gives tips on proper workout techniques and how to avoid injuries. Call 301.475.4002, ext.1001 to sign up, but walk-ins are welcome.
