Man Takes Children on High-Speed Chase

At approximately 12 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, a State Trooper in the area of St. Johns Road in Hollywood witnessed an older model black Ford Crown Victoria traveling in excess of 100 miles per hour. The suspect’s car appeared to witnesses as an older Police Cruiser.

The trooper gave chase south on Three Notch Road and onto Chancellor’s Run where the speeding suspect temporarily eluded capture.
 
The suspect was located in the Hickory Hills subdivision and was subsequently arrested. When he was captured, police discovered that the suspect had two very young children in the car who were not restrained. Arrested was Antwaun Somerville, 19 who was taken into custody by Maryland State Police.
 
Disposition of the children's status is not known at this time. Multiple charges are pending.
