Chase Suspect Found with Sword, Drugs in Vehicle

While traveling on Md. Route 2 in Sunderland, on May 16 at 5:48 p.m., a motorist flagged down DFC Pete Aurich and stated that an unknown suspect had been behind him in his vehicle, chasing him and making threats. 

Both vehicles were now parked on the roadside.  DFC Aurich approached the suspect’s vehicle.  The driver, later identified as Bobbie Tyray Simmons, 22 of Upper Marlboro, was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and a weapon. 

Simmons was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of wearing and carrying a sword, a dangerous weapon, concealed about his person.
