Woman Flees to Florida in Stolen Vehicle from Lexington Park

On May 8, at 9 p.m., Tpr. J. Gibson responded to the 21000 block of Spyglass Way in Lexington Park, for the reported theft of motor vehicle. 

Upon arrival, contact was made with the male complainant, 38 of Lexington Park.  He advised he loaned his vehicle, a silver 2005 Nissan 350Z, Maryland Registration 9EDJ36 to Maricris Argueza Shaw, 35 of Leonardtown, on March 1.  Shaw has failed to return the vehicle. Shaw is being charged with unlawful taking of motor vehicle.  An arrest warrant is currently on file for Shaw on unrelated charges: Forgery and passing numerous bad checks in the amount of $8,400.  Another arrest warrant is on file unlawful taking of a motor vehicle; a silver 2002 Honda S2000 convertible, New York registration DZT4346.  Value of the vehicle is $8,000. 

Shaw has since been apprehended in Tavares, Lake County, Florida where she incarcerated in the Lake County Detention Center and is awaiting return back to St. Mary’s County.
