Red Light Runner Causes Three Car Pile-Up

At approximately 7 a.m., on May 6, the Dunkirk Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad along with an ambulance from North Beach responded to an accident with injuries at MD Route 2 and Route 260 in Owings. Investigation revealed a vehicle traveling on Route 2 ran the red light at the intersection which caused the accident with the other two vehicles. Four patients transported to Calvert Memorial Hospital. Their injuries were ranging from serious to minor.
