Many of TheBAYNET.com readers sent in pictures for the huge fire at the Navy Recreational Center in Solomons.

Multiple Fire and Rescue crews from both Calvert and St. Mary's County are on the scene of a large fire at the Solomons Recreation Center in Solomons.

Preliminary reports indicate a fire broke out shortly before 6:30 p.m., on a ship docked at a pier at the Rec Center. Fire tug boats are headed to the scene to assist with fire operations. Large plumes of smoke can be seen from both counties up to 15 miles from the scene.

No injuries have been reported.
