Man's Breath Leads to DUI, Drug Arrest

On March 29, at 1:54 a.m., Christopher Adam Paul, 21 of Lusby, was arrested Cpl. J. Linger for DWI, Possession of Marijuana and CDS Paraphernalia. 

Upon contact with the driver, Paul, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emitting from his breath.  Paul was arrested for DWI/DUI.  A search incident to the arrest revealed Paul was in possession of a metal CDS smoking device containing burnt marijuana.  

Paul was taken to the Leonardtown Barrack for DWI processing and then transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
