On March 14, at 2:13 a.m., Jaime Marie Stroud, 25 of Mechanicsville, was arrested by Tpr. J. Pilkerton for DUI and possession of cocaine and CDS paraphernalia.

Stroud was operating a black Ford Expedition on south bound Three Notch Road, south of Lockes Hill Road in Mechanicsville when she was stopped for exceeding the posted speed limit.

Upon contact with Stroud, a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage was emitting from her breath for which she was subsequently arrested.  A search incident to the arrest revealed a silver metal Zippo case with cocaine.

Stroud was taken to the Leonardtown Barrack where she was processed for the DUI and later transported to the St Mary’s County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
