Bomb Threat Snarls Traffic and Creates a Mess in California

As of 1:56 p.m. on March 7, police have cleared the store and Shoppers Food Warehouse is reopening. After an exhaustive search no bomb was found. 


As of 1:20 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, police have finished the evacuiation and are awaiting a K-9 bomb unit to sweep the Shoppers Food Warehouse and surrounding areas. Limited traffic is being allowed onto Macarthur Blvd. However, the confirmed bomb threat caused an enormous traffic tie-up in the area including at least one accident. More will be released as it becomes available. 


No traffic is being allowed ingress to the residence dwellings behind San Souci Plaza on Macarthur Blvd. Traffic is now backed up on 235 and authorities are beginniing to evacuate areas behind the Shoppers Food Warehouse area as well. More information will be updated as it comes in. 


TBN has now learned that it is the Shoppers Food Warehouse side of the shopping center being evacuated, including the parking area surrounding the stores on that side of the center. All inbound traffic on Macarthur Blvd. has been stopped. There is an apparent bomb threat. More details will be updated as they come in.


Just before noon, on Saturday, March 7, police are engaged in a massive evacuation procedure, clearing the entire San Souci Plaza, located at 22576 Macarthur Blvd. in California. TBN has a crew on the way to the scene and more details will be made available as soon as it comes in. Apparently, police are not only evacuating the shopping center, but all the surrounding retail establishments.
